Language recommendation
Cloudflare may provide a country or region code at the network edge. We combine that code with the browser language to recommend English, Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese. The site does not expose the visitor's raw IP address to this language component.
Your explicit language choice is stored in the browser and in a first-party preference cookie for up to 180 days.
Operational data
Hosting and security providers may process standard request information needed to deliver pages, prevent abuse and diagnose failures. Visitors do not need an account to read public articles.

Articles link to third-party publications and organisations. Their sites operate under their own privacy and cookie policies.
